Generation Gap

The generation gap is obvious and it manifests vividly on an interactive level. We all try to grow up fast to enjoy adolescent glitter forgetting the mature glow and are often rendered clueless by life and its companions. There are things we dont understand and many a times we find it hard to get answers from the very roots we grew up from. Teenagers often find it hard to interact with their parents. A mutual discomfort about topics like sex, relationships, menstruation, is still palpable in most Indian homes. A limited perspective on career choices also makes for a tensed conversation for many. There are times when both the parties are unaware of the struggles the other side is facing, and that only widens the interactive gap. Parents and children both need to open up and talk. Talk to find settling places, to rejuvenate their relations and to get younger with age.
